Grandparents Visit

We had so much fun having our parents in town. My parents came first, then Toms mom. They both stayed for about two weeks but overlapped for about 5 days in the middle. It was a great month of visiting and we were sooo sad to see them go!!! We hate being so far from family so it was especially nice to have them come and visit. While they were here we ate out far too much and went to Coeur d' Adlene, Idaho for the day and walk on the docks. It was pretty nice for a winter day :)

Grandma Risner loved cuddling and hold Sawyer while he slept....I think she would have held him all day if she could have :)

Sawyers Baby Blessing

Sawyer had his baby blessing this past Sunday. We were so grateful to have both of my parents and Tom's mom there for his blessing. We really appreciated them traveling so far to make it. I am grateful to Tom for giving such a beautiful yet simple blessing to Sawyer. Here are some pictures from the day :)

first REAL Bath

So Sawyers umbilical cord finally fell off so we decided to give him his first "real" bath. My mom was in town so she helped while Tom took pictures. I must say it was a lot of work. I think it would have been easier had we had one of those bath slings because the tub was big and he was sliding everywhere. I think my moms arms were pretty tired when we were all done. Since this bath we haven't really used the tub much. We found it easier to just hand him off to who ever is taking a shower. He really likes the shower, so for now I think we will stick with that :) Anyway below are some pictures:

I was really happy that he wasn't crying when we first put him in the water!!

Getting his hair washed...doing really well so far.
Yeah I don't think he is liking it anymore...at least not having water pored on his face!!

OK I think the hard part is over and he is getting used to it now.

All Done!!!

Definitely NOT liking me putting lotion on him!!

Happy now that he is all warm and laying across grandma Freeman's lap watching TV with her :)

Our first week home!!!

So not too much to report. We are adjusting to having a baby as I am sure all first time parents do. Gone are the days of sleeping through the night....I am glad I decided to take advantage of my last few months of sleeping in :) So here are some pictures of the little guy.

Spending some time with Daddy :)

Looking up at mommy.

One of Tom's Commanders dropped off a cute cookie arrangement from his squadron. It was very thoughtful AND Yummy :)
